So, for a complete experience with Pastel, owning a Wallet tops it off!

Pastel Wallet Full node is only available for Windows and Mac OS. There has yet to be a mobile version.

Step 4: After that, a tab will pop up with a prompt, “Windows protected your PC.”

Click on “more info” and then on “Run anyway.”

Step 5: The Pastel logo will pop up and down among your opened pages; you will find the Pastel tab running for complete installation.

Step 6: In a few seconds, you will be automatically redirected to the Pastel Wallet app, where you have to wait for another few seconds for the setup to be fully completed.

Step 7: Once done, a page will show with an indicator “Start Pastel”; click on it.

Step 8: Wait for Pastel to start, and the main page will open.

Essential Tips you should know about Pastel Wallet

On Pastel Wallet, there are two (2) types of addresses: A Shielded Address and a Transparent Address.

A transparent address is an open address. All transactions through this address are open for everyone to see — totally visible to everyone. It is an open book making every transaction done through these addresses not hidden.

Whereas a shielded address is a secret, nobody can see it. Let’s take, for example, you send $PSL from a shielded address to a transparent address; no one will know where the $PSL comes from. And if you send from one shielded address to another, there will be no records of the $PSL you sent.

You can create as many Shielded and Transparent addresses as you want on the Pastel Wallet. However, exchanges do not allow shielded addresses, only transparent ones. But you can send assets to your shielded address.

To create addresses, follow these steps:

1. On the Wallet Dashboard, click “Receive” and select “Transparent” to create a new address.

2. Copy your private key and make sure to store it safely because this will be your access to your wallet in case of recovery.

3. Click “Copy Address” to copy your Transparent address.

You can also do the same to get your Shielded Address.
