Paribus, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, has made significant progress in product design, front-end development, and back-end improvements. The team has been working tirelessly to implement changes following the recent exploit to ensure the platform is secure and reliable for users. Let's dive deeper into the recent Paribus dev update.

Product Design

The design team at Paribus has been busy placing Hacken variants in the main app, ensuring responsive web design for a seamless user experience across different devices. The governance module is also receiving attention, with the Proposal Creator feature currently in progress. This new feature is exciting as it empowers users to create proposals and participate in decision-making. Additionally, the Proposal Detail element provides users with a comprehensive overview of the status of each proposal, promoting transparency and accountability in the governance process.

The design team has also focused on the governance module's First-Time Staking and Edit Staking aspects, including responsive web design and dark modes.

Frontend Development

The frontend development team at Paribus has been working to enhance the user experience and increase transparency in the voting process. One of the features they are working on is the Voting Power Leaderboard, which gives users insights into the top voting power holders. The Proposal Overview tool shows the author's address, the creation date of the proposal, the time remaining for voting, and its current status. The Proposal Actions feature shows the actions to be implemented should each proposal pass the voting stage in a human-readable and user-friendly format. The Proposal Votes widget shows the number of votes cast on each option, a progress bar showing the ratio of votes cast as a proportion of the total votes available, a list of each address participating in the vote, and a leaderboard of the top voting addresses.

The team is also introducing Proposal State Actions, which allows the author of a proposal to cancel it at any time before its execution. It also gives anyone the ability to cancel a proposal if the author fails to meet the voting power requirements, to queue any proposal for execution after it has passed the vote, and to execute any proposals that have completed the queuing process. Additionally, the frontend team has been focused on improving the market details page and implementing a rewards-claiming UI for all governance rewards.

Backend Development

The backend team has been working on various tasks, including implementing a valuation service for different data points and floor prices within the NFT module. They've also implemented the PBXAccrued function to show live PBX accrued data and updated the L2 Chainlink Price Oracle to use a new sequencer mechanism. These backend improvements ensure the platform's efficiency and overall performance.

Conclusion

Paribus has made significant strides in product design, front-end development, and back-end improvements. The governance module is receiving attention, and new features like the Proposal Creator and Proposal Detail elements will promote transparency and accountability in the governance process. The frontend team is working to enhance the user experience and increase transparency in the voting process, and the backend team is making sure the platform is efficient and reliable. With these updates, Paribus is on its way to becoming a reliable and secure DeFi platform.
